The week before Homecoming at MICDS is always bursting with school spirit. Students from grades Junior Kindergarten through 12th show off their Ram Pride by celebrating with different themes each day. As usual, they display their creativity in addition to their dedication to MICDS. Well done, Rams!
Monday – P „Jay“ Day
Most students took full advantage of the opportunity to wear their more comfy pajamas to school on Monday, but a few enterprising young people decided to channel their intrepid head of school, Jay Rainey.
Tuesday – Beach Day
The unusually high temperatures this week meant that Beach Day was a perfect choice. Fun in the sun and in the classroom for our students and their teachers!
Wednesday – Homecoming T-Shirt Day
This year’s fantastic homecoming t-shirt design is by two juniors: Kelly Zhao ’24 designed the front and Armaan Chandak ’24 designed the back. Every student, faculty, and staff member receives a homecoming t-shirt, a cherished tradition at MICDS.
Check out this adorable video produced by Trudie Davies P’26 ’30 in our campus store!
Thursday – Advisory/Homeroom Color Wash or Multiples Day
The goal for today was to bond homerooms and advisories by dressing alike. Some of our groups took „twinning“ to a whole new level! From advisories dressing in the same color to groups choosing coordinating creative costumes, the campus was awash in multiples!
Friday – Spirit Day
Deck the campus in red and green! Spirit Day means busting out your favorite MICDS tshirts or your sports uniforms, your red and green tutus, facepaint, and beads. The eighth grade helped promote the day by selling beads, blinkies, and thunder sticks at morning drop-off. It’s all about showing off your school spirit and your pride in MICDS, and our students did not disappoint!
