Our Beasley fourth-grade students were celebrated and recognized on Wednesday, May 25. They gathered in the South Gym with friends and family for a wonderful day of songs and poetry. Head of Lower School Amy Scheer opened the ceremony before turning the stage over to students who performed their own adaptation of Best Day of My Life by American Authors. Lower School PE Teacher Summer Beasley worked with students to create original choreography for the performance.
Head of School Jay Rainey shared his thoughts, and Scheer came back to the microphone to speak. Then, the Class of 2030 shared original poetry with the audience. Every single student wrote their own piece and presented to the appreciative crowd.
Finally, our rising fifth-graders performed a closing song they arranged themselves before cutting loose with a big party. It was a fitting end to their time at Ronald S. Beasley Lower School and we are excited to welcome them to the Middle School this fall!
