Lower school science students were able to witness baby turtles hatching from their eggs this week in Christy Moore’s science class.
« I had a box turtle lay eggs at my house this summer, » said Moore. « I cordoned off the area and then waited for 67 days. This morning, I went out to check on the nest and the turtles were hatching. »
Students will be able to observe the four turtles grow from hatchlings to adults in the garden outside of Christy’s classroom.
