Homecoming Football Game Highlights Team's Win and Brian Gould ‘25
Brian Gould ’25 and the MICDS Football team are highlighted in a St. Louis Post-Dispatch article that recaps Saturday’s Homecoming football game against Burroughs where MICDS won, 29-0. Gould sustained a UCL tear to his throwing arm and underwent Tommy John surgery earlier this year, so this football season has been different for him. Instead of playing quarterback, he is in a more versatile role that was showcased well during the Homecoming game. The article states, “Gould ran for the game’s first touchdown, caught a TD pass in the fourth quarter, and flipped an underhand pass for the subsequent two-point conversion. He also had a sack and forced fumble on defense.”
MICDS Football has now defeated Burroughs for 10 straight games. Another recap on the Post-Dispatch highlights Henry Rohan ’26 and Gabriel Weaver ’26, who each had a receiving touchdown. Way to go, Rams!
Arts Chair Performs in Julia Perry Concert
Did you know our very own Dr. Jo Nardolillo, JK-12 Arts Department Chair and Orchestra Director, is also on the faculty team at Washington University as a teacher of applied music, violin, viola, and chamber music? As such, she played in a Julia Perry concert last weekend as part of a larger symposium called “(Re)Discovering the Musical Legacy of Julia Perry.” Both the concert and the symposium centered on the groundbreaking work of Julia Perry, the first Black woman to have her music performed by the New York Philharmonic.
