Opening the Door to Homecoming Spirit Galore

It’s the week of Homecoming at MICDS, which is obvious if you look around our Danforth and Shoenberg halls in the Middle School. To get into the Ram spirit, our fifth through eighth-grade advisories held a Homecoming door decorating contest this year. For the heated competition, the fifth, sixth, and seventh-grade advisories dreamed up, crafted, and posted their extravagantly spirited door designs while the eighth-grade advisories judged their creations.

Check out some of the designs below, and congratulations to the following advisories on winning their specific grade’s competition:

  • Fifth Grade: The Garcia Advisory
  • Sixth Grade: The Delfin Advisory
  • Seventh Grade: The Bouchard Advisory

Also, in the Black and White Hallway of the Middle School, students in Middle School Math Teacher Cameron Youngman’s and Middle School English Teacher Olivia Halverson’s advisories, with a little math and a lot of cutting, created an impressive Homecoming bulletin board that showcased a complete football field replica sprinkled with football players, rams, and MICDS colors.

It’s safe to say we’ve all opened our classroom and school doors to a fun and festive Homecoming weekend. Let’s go, Rams!
