Advisories Duel in Rock, Paper, Scissors Competition

Before Spring Break, an unofficial sporting event took place at MICDS: A Rock, Paper, Scissors Tournament! This longstanding tradition had fifth- and sixth-grade designated players from each advisory group, along with a few Middle School faculty challenging each other to a duel of hands.

The students and faculty battled through the bracket for the best two out of three in the first two rounds and the best three out of five for the final four face-offs. Fifth Grade Dean and Spanish Teacher Christine Mayer “cut” through the competition and was victorious. Audrey Walker ’28 from the Williamson advisory was the runner-up.

Middle School Science Teacher Branson Lawrence created a stunning trophy using tools and found objects from the maker space. The crowd’s deafening roar “rocked” Eliot Chapel as the advisories “wrapped” up this electrifying and unique competition as an event worth repeating!
