Coding for Parents and Students Alike

On Thursday, we held our annual Beasley Family Coding Night for 2nd-4th grade students and their parents. For an hour, children and parents alike dove into the world of coding.

From learning block coding, the main programming language used by children, to exploring the Kodable app with puzzles, families were challenged to code to create sequences of movement, patterns and functions. They utilized our vast technology resources while having Dash robots and Spheros at their fingertips. Navigating through various obstacles, they learned how to change certain variables in a program to produce different results.

At MICDS, coding can be learned at any age!
