The entire Beasley community gathered in the McDonnell Athletic Center for the Kids’ Heart Challenge (formerly known as Jump Rope for Heart). This annual community service project for the American Heart Association is held in conjunction with a PE unit on heart health. A representative from the American Heart Association recently spoke at a Beasley assembly. This year, the Beasley school community has raised $17,000 thus far, and donations are still coming in with the deadline on Tuesday, February 18.
During the event, the students were active for 90 minutes, and teachers and parents joined in the fun, too! Students climbed over barriers and pulled ropes in a ninja warrior obstacle course. They hula hooped and jumped rope with their friends. Students went for a jog or a walk around the track. They also danced their «heart» out with Go Noodle dance activities.
