On July 19, Mary Carnal ’15 became a U.S. Figure Skating Gold Medalist in ice dance, skating to the Viennese Waltz with Canadian partner Andrew Beck. This achievement is the culmination of many years of hard work and dedication to her sport, and comes after successfully completing over 24 dance tests. In a typical year, approximately 40,000 U.S. Figure Skating test levels are completed by athletes and of those, only about three percent are at the gold or senior level. Congratulations to Mary on reaching this goal!
