High heat couldn’t stop our intrepid Upper School club leaders from hosting a bonanza for the 2024 Club Fest! Organizers moved almost the entire event indoors to keep everyone cool and safe, and students filled the STEM building to share their enthusiasm for their passions while learning about opportunities from their peers.
Music pumped through the halls as students explored a variety of club offerings, signing up to receive more information about meetings, events, and programs. Over 60 organizations fielded tables loaded with information, treats, and goodies. Students were able to explore interests in the arts, career paths, community service, identities and affinities, business, and more. From American Sign Language to Red Cross volunteering, ping pong to chess, and robotics to outdoors, there was something for everyone.
Want to learn how to write a screenplay? How about competing in the Science Olympiad? Ready to explore programming? The beauty of the student activities program at MICDS is that each club, while moderated by an adult, is driven entirely by student leadership and partcipation. Even with 60 offerings, the door is open for students to create new opportunities to share and promote their interests, finding like-minded peers to learn and grow together.
We are very proud of our amazing clubs and the talented students who run them. Well done, Rams!
