The first Beasley assembly was this week! Beasley assemblies are monthly community gatherings filled with wonderful traditions and new activities alike. Traditions include viewing the Beasley broadcast, honoring and celebrating Beasley birthdays each month and singing the MICDS Alma Mater. Students also heard from a special guest speaker – Head of School Lisa Lyle – about the history of MICDS and its roots as Mary Institute and Saint Louis Country Day School. Head of Lower School Janet McMillion also read a few passages from a favorite book in the Beasley community – “The Golden Rule” by Ilene Cooper. It was quite a bright crowd – everyone was dressed in neon for Spirit Week!
