One of the many favorite fourth-grade days of the year is the Invention Fair, where students create meaningful projects to share with their fellow Lower School friends, classmates, and family.
Students chose to research, engineer, and test projects based on inventions that could reduce negative impacts on the environment and planet Earth. Projects included solar houses and cars, magnet cars, water and air purification systems, and floating trash removal tools. Lower School Science Teacher Laura Pupillo said, „There were many iterations of each project, and each student demonstrated the work of an engineer. Following the science fair, all students in Beasley got to tour the displays, and they equally found the science fair to be a highlight of the year.“
„I’m going to miss this wonderful group of students and hope that our students remain curious as they continue to explore, engineer, and test meaningful ideas in Middle School,“ Pupillo added.
It is inspiring to see the wealth of expertise and enthusiasm that has blossomed in this group of young scientists. We can count on these rising fifth-grade students to continue to make a difference!
