The Lower School took advantage of an extra Day 4 in their shortened Thanksgiving Week schedule. Of course the morning was all about community service, starting off with the Turkey Train and Thanksgiving Assembly. Lower School kids also worked on creative service projects, including making dog toys for the local shelter, cards for deployed soldiers, and art projects to contribute to The Red and Green fundraising gala.
The afternoon was all about community and choice. Students got a chance to “mix it up” with different age groups at lunch. After lunch, they got to explore various creative opportunities in an open choice format – maker space, reading, open art studio, and even watching cartoons. What a fun afternoon for the Lower School community.
