Lower school science students were able to witness baby turtles hatching from their eggs this week in Christy Moore’s science class.
“I had a box turtle lay eggs at my house this summer,” said Moore. “I cordoned off the area and then waited for 67 days. This morning, I went out to check on the nest and the turtles were hatching.”
Students will be able to observe the four turtles grow from hatchlings to adults in the garden outside of Christy’s classroom.
