Middle School Students Honored at 2024 Recognition Day

MICDS fifth through eighth graders came together this week in Mary Eliot Chapel for our annual Middle School Recognition Day, an opportunity for students to be honored for their extraordinary work and commitment this school year.

In her remarks, Head of Middle School Jen Schuckman said, “Each year, this assembly offers us an opportunity to gather as a full community and celebrate the many accomplishments of the school year. Today’s awards recognize middle school students who have demonstrated exceptional engagement, embraced challenge and opportunity, and lived our School’s mission to the fullest.”

Congratulations to all honorees for their hard work and commitment, and to every Middle School student, for contributing to our community in meaningful ways. View the list of award recipients below!

Congratulations to all of our award recipients and every Middle School student for their hard work and help in making our MICDS community the best it can be. As Schuckman reminded the audience, “If you think back to who you were as you began the year, I am sure each of you can identify points of growth, both big and small, of which you can be very proud. Maybe it was conquering your fear of being on stage. Perhaps you got a new PR in the weight room or crushed a writing assignment. Or maybe you were brave and sat next to someone new at lunch and now they are your friend. You pushed yourself in countless ways and I hope you feel a great sense of pride as you head into the final days of school. Keep your focus for these final days and finish strong.”
