The MICDS education comes to life—and in this case, flutters! Students in Mrs. Mayer’s 5th grade Spanish class are currently studying the life cycle of the monarch butterfly and its journey to Mexico. This week, the Monarch entered into the Chrysalis stage, where it will stay for 11 days as it transforms. Once fully transformed, the Monarch will migrate to and winter in Mexico before starting the journey north, where the cycle starts over again in the spring.
