The MICDS Upper School Club for Animal Rights and Education (CARE) hosted a movie night for Beasley students on Friday, February 28. Students enjoyed snacks, animal-themed arts and crafts and a viewing of crowd favorite The Secret Life of Pets 2. As part of the student-run event, families generously donated used or new pet supplies and towels or t-shirts. All contributions were donated to St. Louis-area animal shelters.
Head of Lower School Amy Scheer said, “Beasley students enjoyed connecting with the many Upper School student volunteers and those from other CARE groups. They played games and made a shared poster as a group. Many cross-divisional connections were made!”
CARE is a non-profit organization founded and run by MICDS students, Gretel Wurdack ’21 and Sophia Weber ’21. They host events to promote animal rights and to give a voice to the pets loved by so many.
