Last Saturday, MICDS hosted New Creation International’s 5th annual Head, Heart, Hands and Health event. The event, organized by Lakshmi Reddy, parent of Rohit ’15, and Andrea Brownstein, retired MICDS Director of College Counseling, drew around 100 guests. Attendees explored integral education and about a topic we’re focusing on throughout MICDS this year: mindfulness.
The 2018 keynote speaker was the internationally known author and expert in integral education, Fabrice Dini. Attendees were challenged to cultivate gratitude, and they discussed such topics as the Pygmalion effect, mindful breathing and “the presence within.” One attendee shared, “Mr. Dini was inspiring. I felt relaxed and so content after the program on Saturday.”
The mission of New Creation International is to help children become conscious, creative, global citizens through the promotion and practices of integral education.
What a perfect event to align with School’s 2018-2019 theme of well-being!
