Nidhi Bhaskar ’17 Wins National Youth Leadership Award

Nidhi Bhaskar ’17 has been selected as the recipient of the 2016 CEHN (Children’s Environmental Health Network) Youth Leadership Award. She is the sole recipient of this prestigious award, chosen from hundreds of youth environmental leaders from across the country who have shown a commitment to preserving the health of children on a local and global level. Nidhi will travel to Washington, D.C., on October 13 to participate in Children’s Environmental Health Day events and attend an awards ceremony, where she will be honored alongside professors and policy makers from Harvard University, the National Institutes of Health and the World Health Organization.

Nidhi is the founder and CEO of Project New Boundaries for Youth (ProjectNBYouth), an organization that aims to create awareness and action about environmental, health and sustainability issues among youth around the world. In the coming year, Nidhi plans to expand ProjectNBYouth to five cities in India, and will also launch a competition for St. Louis area high school students in the spring of 2017.
