Iñigo Gondra, a Spanish Chef and owner of the Croquetterie, visited MICDS this week and set up a cooking station in Hermann Court in the Upper School. He set to work preparing an enormous pan of paella, a traditional Spanish rice dish, and Spanish 300 classes were invited to come outside to ask the local chef some questions. The question and answers from the students to the chef were all spoken in Spanish, providing an immersive language experience for the classes. At the end of each Q&A session, students were able to try a sample of the paella.
