Fourth grade students have been learning all about Hispanic Heritage Month in their Spanish classes. “They learned about many Hispanic Americans who have productively improved and enriched our society,” shares señora Soledad Villagomez, Lower School Spanish Teacher.
On October 18 and October 21, 4th graders collaborated with 7th and 8th graders to ask and answer questions about different Hispanic American figures. While practicing their Spanish and getting to know one another, they talked about such people as Sonia Sotomayor, Ellen Ochoa, Alberto Pujols and Selena Gómez.
What a fun activity for every student in this cross-divisional activity.
