Student Report: Marketing Club Learns About Producing Effective Videos

Student Author: Erik Kuznetsov ’21

On Tuesday, Mr. Glen Williams, MICDS Multimedia Specialist, gave a presentation to the Marketing Club on the basics of video editing through the software Premiere Pro. He went in-depth in demonstrating how to cut footage, shift audio and change the sequence of a video.

It was really awesome to see the way you could assemble different parts of the footage, in addition to adding titles and being able to adjust the lighting and color. In particular, Mr. Williams emphasized the importance of taking raw footage. The simplicity in being able to cut what is not desired leads to the potential of an excellent final product!

We are extremely fortunate to have a multi-media specialist who has the knowledge to explain the process of video formation and what it takes to make a top-notch edit!
