Sophomore Sings Solo for 400 Law Enforcement Officers and Dignitaries

Reina Banerjee ’27 was the featured soloist at the 34th Annual Law Enforcement and Security Appreciation Luncheon hosted by the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS), held at the Frontenac St. Louis Hilton. The luncheon honors law enforcement officers who have distinguished themselves by performing an extraordinary act of service or heroism, risking personal injury or life. Reina sang the national anthem and God Bless America for an audience of over 400 law enforcement officers and dignitaries from throughout the St. Louis Metropolitan area.

Banerjee shared, “I really enjoyed participating in the luncheon and singing to some amazing people. It was very interesting to learn about our law enforcement as well as having the opportunity to sing for the people who keep us safe!”

Ninth Grader Advances to Semi-Finals of St. Louis Teen Talent Competition

Asher Woodward ’28 will advance to the semifinals of the 2025 St. Louis Teen Talent Competition. He will sing I Love Betsy from the musical Honeymoon in Vegas by Jason Robert Brown. Round Two takes place at Kirkwood High School on Saturday, November 2. Go Asher!

Two Rams Earn Medals at Cross Country Invite

At the Border Wars Cross Country Championships, Grace Coppel ‘25 and Frances Applegate ‘27 finished with a 4th place medal and 6th place medal, respectively. Way to run, Rams!

Girls Golf District Champs

On Monday, October 14, Girls Golf brought home the District Title with a strong showing on the course! Our Rams will be back at it next Monday as they compete for the Class 2 State Championship. Let’s go, Rams!

Girls Tennis Takes District Championship and Three Rams Make it to State

Congratulations to the Girls Tennis team for winning Girls Tennis Team Districts in Class Two on October 16! The team will play Sectionals on Monday, October 21 at 2 p.m.

Two ninth graders, Audrey Taves ’28 and Elle Faerber ’28, and one senior, Bennett Baur ’25, are heading to State for Girls Tennis after the Class 2 District 3 tournament on October 11. Taves qualified for state in the singles competition and Faerber and Baur qualified for state by winning the district doubles title. Read more about the individuals’ district tournament as recapped by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch here. The State finals as individuals will be held in Springfield on October 24 and 25.

Coach Heinemann Records a Century of Wins in Girls Tennis

On Monday, October 7, Coach Brad Heinemann recorded his 100th win as Head Girls Varsity Tennis Coach at MICDS. He said, «It truly means so much to me when I reflect on all of the amazing players I’ve had the privilege to coach in this program and the role they’ve played in helping me reach this milestone.» Way to go, Coach!
