Katie Flemming `19 Donates Books through Katie’s Books for Kids
Katie has been busy collecting and donating books to great organizations through her not-for-profit, Katie’s Books for Kids. This week, she donated over 120 books to the St. Louis Foster and Adoptive Care Coalition and Executive Director Melanie Scheetz. Their mission is to find and train forever families so that every child has a place to call home. In 2017, Katie donated over 2,100 books to support literacy and children in need. Organizations receiving books included: St. Louis Children’s Hospital, Shriners Hospital, Central Institute for the Deaf, Syrian refugee families, an African nursery school and a pre-school for at-risk children.
