Senior Earns SPARK Choice Award
The Ignite Theater Company awarded Harrison Brown ’22 with a SPARK Choice Award for Outstanding Featured Performance in his role as Race in Newsies. The SPARK Choice Awards celebrate outstanding performances from the 2021 Ignite Theatre Company season. All awards were voted on by the Ignite fans. Congratulations, Harrison!
Haylii Skates to Earn GOLD Level Graduating Seniors Award from U.S. Figure Skating
Haylii Sondrol ’22 has been awarded the GOLD level Graduating Seniors Award by the Program Development Committee of U.S. Figure Skating as part of their Graduating Seniors Program. « The U.S. Figure Skating Graduating Seniors Award recognizes the hard work of student-athletes who have participated in figure skating throughout high school; awards are given at the Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze level based off a skater’s level of competitive achievement in high school. Selection for this award speaks to a skater’s continued commitment to succeeding in their athletic and academic endeavors. » Following the application review process, U.S. Figure Skating sends the student-athlete their awards certificate, congratulatory letter, and lapel pin. « Earning this award means so much to me because I take pride in my figure skating and the years of effort I put into achieving it, » shares Haylii. Congratulations!
Sophomore Accepted into The Perry Initiative
Congratulations to Chloe Martin ’24 for being accepted in The Perry Initiative program! As part of the program, Chloe will perform surgeries and biomechanics experiments while hearing from practicing women surgeons and engineers. « I am so thankful to have the opportunity to participate in this program and gain exposure to the medical field, » shares Chloe. « In the future, I hope to attend medical school to become a pediatrician, and this is a great start.” The program is all about « building the pipeline for women in engineering and medicine. » Way to go, Chloe!
