Senior Selected as an Outstanding Student Leader of Saint Louis County
Becoming a Gold Award Scout
Coumba collected over 150 kits (each valuing $70) for teens in foster care in Saint Louis, and raised funds to hire a teaching artist who did 10 art workshops with talibes. The third phase of the project is a virtual exhibition featuring youth artists from Senegal and Missouri. The project combined her interest in psychology and the role of creating positive mental health. She is thankful to MICDS MIST (Mental Illness Support for Teenagers) organization which helped spread the word about the project and Community School which invited her to speak about the project and also raised donations for the project.
