Patton in the Spotlight this Weekend
Skye Patton ’23 is in the spotlight this weekend and in a St. Louis Post-Dispatch article for being the Nutcracker in this weekend’s Nutcracker On Ice production. Check out the article here!
Ram Earns Silver in Cyclocross State Championships
Freshman Sawyer Merlin ’25 earned the silver medal in his age group at the Cyclocross State Championships in Missouri on Sunday! Way to go, Sawyer!
Dancing Her Way to Nationals
Delaney Janes ’26 earned 11th place out of 86 girls at the 2021 Irish Dance Regional Oireachtas in Schaumburg, Illinois, on Sunday, November 28. Her placement qualified her for Nationals which take place in July 2022, and she was only 1.5 points away from qualifying for Worlds! She attends the Clark Academy of Irish Dance where she is instructed by Mary Jo Clark-Cange. Way to go, Delaney!
Boys Basketball Dominates
The MICDS Boys Basketball team beat Lutheran South, 72-25 on Tuesday. Congratulations to Jayden Banks ’24 and Brandon Mitchell-Day ’22 who both scored 19 points. Read the quick game summary in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch here.
A Victory for the Girls Basketball Team
Congratulations to the Girls Basketball team on defeating Lutheran North 33-28 Friday. Binta Fall ’23 and Chelsey Nwamu ’23 are highlighted in the recap in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch for leading in points with nine and eight scored, respectively.
Undefeated Field Hockey Stars
Nine of our Rams competed on the U16 and U19 Gateway field hockey teams at the US National Field Hockey Festival. The festival was held in Tampa, Florida, over Thanksgiving. Both teams were undefeated in their respective pools. Way to go, Kendall Curry ’23, Greta Wolfsberger ’22, Ella Brauer ’24, Virginia Portell ’24, Ella Etherington ’24, Ellie Lochhead ’24, Caroline Birkel ’25, Anna Lochhead ’22, and Brecken Calcari ’22!
Kate Oliver ’22 also competed at the US National Field Hockey Festival. She participated with her club team which scored 44 goals and allowed 0 goals from the opposing teams.
Some of our students also recently went to the Shooting Star Tournament in Virginia. “We are very fortunate that so many of our players continue to play field hockey outside of our fall season,” shares Lynn Mittler, Head Field Hockey Coach. “You can see that they (and their families) truly love the sport.”
