Sophomore to Represent MICDS at the Congress of Future Medical Leaders
Sanchi Vishwakarma ’23 was chosen to represent MICDS and Missouri at the Congress of Future Medical Leaders. She will get to work among some of the greatest minds in medicine. Congratulations, Sanchi!
Pitching for the Rawlings Tigers National Baseball Team
Henry Cordes ’24 has been awarded a position to pitch for the Rawlings Tigers National Baseball Team. He is one of 16 players to be chosen from the Tigers organization nation-wide. His team will be competing in the 15U Perfect Game East MLK East Championship in Fort Myers, Florida, in January. Way to go, Henry!
Chess Team Wins First Match
The MICDS Chess team won its first match of the Gateway Chess League against John Burroughs on Monday. The first game was conducted in a virtual format. President Nigina Aripova ’22 created the team three years ago and continues to take on a huge role in organizing our Upper School chess team. The team’s VP’s are Josh Fundler ’22 and Frank Ragone ’22, and the team is sponsored by Science Teacher Justin Little. Keep it up, Rams!
Boys Basketball Win Over Whitfield
On Saturday, the MICDS Boys Basketball team defeated Whitfield 67-54. The Rams made 81% of their shots on the basket with four players earning double-digit points for the team. Here’s the game recap.
A few days later, the Rams earned a win against Lutheran South, 72-45. They had another 80%+ of their shots score points and three Rams earned double-digit points. The boys basketball team next plays at SLUH today, Friday, December 11 at 6:30 p.m. Go Rams!
Football State Runners-Up
Congratulations to our MICDS Football team on their Class 4 State runner up finish to an incredibly challenging and unpredictable season! We are extremely proud of this team, our new Head Coach Fred Bouchard, and the immense perseverance the team and staff embodied this fall. Way to go, Ram Nation! Read the game recap here.
