Middle School First Lego League Team Places Third at Qualifying Event
Congratulations to our Middle School First Lego League (FLL) robotics team, the Water Gremlins, which took third place overall at their qualifying event this past Saturday. « They had a respectable showing in the robot game, and did very well in their research project and robot design presentations, » shares Brian Rueckert, Upper School Registrar, Science Teacher, and First Lego League Coach. « The judges were very complimentary on how the students worked together as a team, exhibiting the FLL Core Values of discovery, innovation, impact, inclusion, teamwork, and fun. Their research project was on intentional construction of salt marshes along ocean coasts to help filter and clean surface runoff prior to it getting into the ocean. I’m proud of them! » The team will advance to the Missouri Regional competition in February. Go Rams!
