Boys and Girl Basketball Tournament and Player Highlights
At the Don Maurer Invitational, two MICDS student-athletes made the All-Tournament teams. Congratulations to Brandon Clemens ’26 and Jordyn Haywood ’28!
The St. Louis American covered one day at the invitational where the MICDS Girls Basketball team defeated Ladue 65-42. In their recap, they highlight Jordyn for scoring a game-high 25 points. Additionally, The St. Louis American listed Clemens as a player to watch during the 2024-25 basketball season.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch shared photos of the Don Mauer Holiday Invitational where the MICDS Boys Basketball team defeated Duchesne 63-27 and where the MICDS Girls Basketball team was victorious against Kirkwood, scoring 52-42.
The Post also wrote an article about the Kirkwood Girls Basketball game, putting point guard CeCe Harris ’25 and Haywood in the spotlight. Harris made 12 of her 14 free throw attempts. They both helped the Rams get to the final of its own tournament for the first time since 2021. The team ended up being defeated in the finals but had an excellent showing.
