Three Rams Shine on The Nutracker Stage

Lilia Oulamine ’26, Simone Glasser ’29, and Ruby Morris ’29 participated in the Saint Louis Ballet’s production of The Nutcracker. They rehearsed for this special holiday tradition starting in September and performances were in November and December. Lilia and Simone were party girls in all of the performances, and Ruby was Clara in four of the performances. They are grateful that MICDS students, faculty, and staff came out and supported them. Way to go, ladies!

Sixth Grader Plays on All-Star Team over New Years

Brandon Jewett ’31 was selected from an all-star tournament in St. Louis last August to further play in another all-star tournament over New Year’s in Mesa, Arizona. His team (Prospect Squared, St. Louis) had players from Missouri, Illinois, and Arizona, and they played other all-star teams from Alabama, Texas, Arizona, and Kentucky. Prospect Squared lost in the semifinals but had a great showing all around. Go Brandon!

Boys and Girl Basketball Tournament and Player Highlights

At the Don Maurer Invitational, two MICDS student-athletes made the All-Tournament teams. Congratulations to Brandon Clemens ’26 and Jordyn Haywood ’28!

The St. Louis American covered one day at the invitational where the MICDS Girls Basketball team defeated Ladue 65-42. In their recap, they highlight Jordyn for scoring a game-high 25 points. Additionally, The St. Louis American listed Clemens as a player to watch during the 2024-25 basketball season.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch shared photos of the Don Mauer Holiday Invitational where the MICDS Boys Basketball team defeated Duchesne 63-27 and where the MICDS Girls Basketball team was victorious against Kirkwood, scoring 52-42.

The Post also wrote an article about the Kirkwood Girls Basketball game, putting point guard CeCe Harris ’25 and Haywood in the spotlight. Harris made 12 of her 14 free throw attempts. They both helped the Rams get to the final of its own tournament for the first time since 2021. The team ended up being defeated in the finals but had an excellent showing.
