Faculty Feature: Bouchard
Congratulations to this week’s standouts below. Way to go #RamNation! And as always, if you have a story to share, please email weeklynews@micds.org.
Rising to the Ranks of Eagle Scout
Will Falk ’21 has just earned his Eagle Scout distinction, the highest rank available in Boy Scouts of America, attained by just 4% of Scouts. In order to achieve the rank of Eagle, Will had to earn at least 21 merit badges and show leadership by planning, developing, and completing a community service project. For his project, Will led his troop in revitalizing a community garden in University City. Way to go, Will!
Sharpening Knife-making Skills
Have you ever thought about making a knife from scratch? Freshman Tyler Tschudy ’24 does just that! Check out a few of the knives he’s made this past year!
Fifth Grader Creates Video that Encompasses the Times
Our very own Priyasha Munshi ’28, created a fun skit/video of the “Types of Students in Online Class.” With the video, she shares, “2020 was a strange year where students all over had to adapt to online learning. Some students brought in their unique style of attending online classes. And what an experience it was for teachers and fellow students!!!” Be sure to check out her creative, fun video and see which type of student you are! Great job, Priyasha!
Boys Basketball Secures 11-0 Season Start with the Talents of Hendricks
The boys basketball team is in the news this week for an overtime win against Westminster on Tuesday, 61-54. The STL Today article highlights Aaron Hendricks ’21 for his slam dunks as well as his defensive control in the paint. His talents helped the team earn its 11th win of the season, continuing the undefeated streak and making this perhaps the best season start that MICDS boys basketball has ever had.
