Mia Duchars Field Hockey

Duchars Named Third Team All-American in Field Hockey

For the second year in a row, Mia Duchars ’20 was named a Third Team All-American in field hockey by Max Field Hockey! Way to go, Mia!

Ji Plays Clarinet at Missouri Music Conference

Eric Ji `21 plays clarinet with the Community Music School’s Young People’s Symphonic Orchestra, and they were selected as an ensemble to perform at the Missouri Music Educators Association 82nd annual In-Service Workshop/Conference from January 22-25, 2020, at Tan-Tar-A Conference Center in Osage Beach, Missouri. Bravo!

Ram Helps Paint New Mural in U City

A new mural was revealed in University City as the Loop Ice Carnival got underway in mid-January. MICDS sophomore Coumba Diallo ’22 was one of 21 students who helped paint the mural in partnership with St. Louis ArtWorks. St. Louis ArtWorks uses art to teach life skills to youth ages 14-19. Diallo was quoted this week in the Webster-Kirkwood Times article about the mural.

Boys Basketball in the News

On Wednesday, the Rams defeated Clayton 50-30 at MICDS as covered by STL High School Sports. Two Rams earned points in the double digits: Nick Roper ’21 earned 20 points and Brandon Mitchell-Day ’22 earned 10 points.

Last Saturday, the Boys Basketball Team beat Glendale in a close game, scoring 61-60. Read the brief recap here.

Rams Dominate in Girls Basketball Action

The Rams had an excellent game on Monday in a 61-27 victory against Lindbergh. The game marked the first round of the Lindbergh Tournament. Read the recap of the game on STL High School Sports here. The game also marked their coach’s 300th coaching victory!

Faculty Feature: Scott Small Earns 300th Coaching Victory

MICDS Head Coach for the Girls Varsity Basketball Team and Head of Upper School Scott Small earned his 300th coaching victory on Monday as reported by STL High School Sports. Small shared, «You think about all the kids you’ve had in the program who worked really hard to make this possible.» Way to go, Coach Small!
