Two Upperclassmen Reach Class 3 Tennis Singles Semifinals

Evan Erb ’21 and Justin Jan ’22 advanced to the Class 3 Boys Tennis Semifinals held on Friday, May 21 at noon. They both earned victories at the Class 3 District 2 Boys Tennis Championship last week. Read the recap of these Rams at Districts from the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Go Rams!

Hayden Fischer

Senior Named Player of the Year for Soccer

Hayden Fischer ’21 was named Class 2 Player of the Year by the Missouri High School Soccer Coaches Association in addition to being named to the 2020-21 All-Metro Boys Soccer Second Team. Check out his feature in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. He earned the game-winning goal in the Class 2 District 3 championship as he helped the Rams earn their first Boys Soccer State Championship in the fall. Congrats, Hayden!

Danielle Kain

Senior Earns Lockheed Martin STEM Scholarship

Congratulations to Danielle Kain ’21 for being a recipient of the Lockheed Martin STEM Scholarship Award! “The Lockheed Martin STEM Scholarship Award is a renewable $10,000 scholarship gifted to a student who plans to major in one of a variety of different engineering fields or physics,” explains Danielle. “I was eligible for this scholarship because I plan on majoring in Aerospace Engineering at Florida Institute of Technology, and I plan to put the money towards covering tuition cost. I’m truly honored to have received this scholarship that will support my future education.” What an outstanding achievement, Danielle!

Mikula '21 Ties for 7th in Class 5 Golf Standings

In the Class 5 Boys State Golf Championship on Monday at Sedalia Country Club, Henry Mikula ’21 earned a two-day score of 4-over 144, making him finish in a four-way tie for 7th. Hasani Spann '21 Named Scholar Athlete

Let’s put our hands together for Hasani Spann ’21 who has been declared a Scholar Athlete by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch! Hasani has achieved a number of accolades academically and athletically, ranging from being a Stanford Questbridge Match Scholarship Recipient and National Merit Finalist to earning a single-game program record for 3-pointers in basketball. His Scholar Athlete bio is shared here.

Hasani will attend Stanford University in the fall and hopes to become an aerospace engineer. Congratulations, Hasani!

Junior Makes All-Metro First Team for Offense

Congrats to Reagan Andrew ’22 for being named to the All-Metro Football First Team for Offense for 2020-21! Check out his highlights as a Rams football player featured in the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Ram Commits Early to University of New Hampshire

Brecken Calcari ’22 recently committed early to the University of New Hampshire to play Field Hockey. Congratulations, Brecken!

Rising Senior to Study at Johns Hopkins University This Summer

Congratulations to Gabe Probst ’22 for being accepted to Johns Hopkins University’s pre-college summer program! “I am hoping to learn more about the medical field as it has been a big interest in my life,” he said. “I hope that being accepted into this program means that I am on the path to continuing into a career in the medical field.” This summer, Gabe will be taking Introduction to Surgery, Medical School Intensive, and Anatomy, Physiology, and Disease.

Sophomore Launches Website Featuring Hundreds of Ethnic Restaurants

As part of his Civics Unplugged Fellowship, Deren Pellegrini ’23 created a website that features 275 ethnic restaurants in St. Louis. This was part of a project focused on striving for inclusive prosperity. “Through this ethnic restaurant listing website, I wanted to support immigrant businesses and increase their visibility within our community,” explained Deren. “My website, stlcuisine.org, has recently been recognized by the St. Louis Mosaic Project, and it will be listed on their website next week. I believe that food tells a unique story about each culture and unites people within the broader community. I created this website not only to help ethnic restaurants, but also to cultivate a more diverse and connected community in St. Louis.” What a fantastic expression of civic engagement, Deren!

Earning 3rd Place in the Holocaust Museum's Art & Writing Contest

Angelina Shen ’24 submitted artwork to the Holocaust Museum’s Art & Writing Contest and won third place! She will receive $100 as part of this award and her submission is posted on the museum’s website here. Check out her piece entitled “Anne Frank: A Letter from Amsterdam.”

Strong Track & Field Scores at Districts

The Rams Track & Field program competed in Districts last weekend and earned excellent scores! Congrats to Girls Track & Field for earning 1st at District for the 13th straight time and congrats to Boys Track & Field for earning 2nd! Go Rams!
