Three Rams Selected for ACS All-Star Game
Three MICDS senior football players were selected to play in the American Cancer Society’s All-Star Game on December 9 at Missouri Baptist College. Only 70 football players from the metro area were chosen. Congratulations to Jeremiah Clay ’24, Carter Enyard ’24, and Davis Schukar ’24. MICDS hosted the team reveal this past Sunday in Brauer Auditorium. The reveal included hearing from guest speaker Cooper Harrison who is a survivor of Leukemia. He shared some words of wisdom for helping the players understand the impact of the ACS game on the American Cancer Society.
Junior Given Metro League Offensive Player of the Year Distinction
Congratulations to Brian Gould ’25 who was dubbed the Metro League Offensive Player of the Year! Way to go, Brian!
Sophomore Wins State Piano Competition
Ellie Chen ’26 went to Kansas City on November 5 for the Missouri Music Teacher’s Association (MMTA) event. She played piano for her state piano competition, winning in the section Grades 10-12 Piano Duet. Bravo, Ellie!
Two Rams Shine at Top Draw Fall Showcase
On November 5, the 410 West 14U Girls Lacrosse team won the division championship at the Top Draw Fall Lacrosse Showcase. This team includes MICDS students Eloise Lurk ’28 and Luisa Parietti ’28. Way to go, Eloise and Luisa!
Strong Boys Cross Country State Results
At the Boys Cross Country state championship, Liam McCarthy ’24 ran 17:37.1 (82nd place) and Wyatt Dickherber ’24 ran 17:59.7 (120th place). Dickherber earned a new personal record, and McCarthy flew into the finish passing 27 runners in the last kilometer! Go Rams!
Girls Cross Country Takes 8th at State
At the Girls Cross Country Country state championship, Frances Applegate ’27 broke into the overall top 10 at 9th place with a time of 18:56.9 and Grace Coppel ’25 finished right behind her at 12th place with a time of 19:13.9. Applegate and Coppel earned the third and fifth best 5k times respectively in school history. MICDS took 8th overall in the State as a team. Way to go, Rams!
A District Semifinal Victory in Football
In the Class 5 District 3 Semifinals, the MICDS Rams defeated Hazelwood East 35-14. The game is summarized on STL Today here with highlights about Brian Gould ’25, Jeremiah Clay ’24, and Graham Faust ’26. Watch a video of game highlights here. The game is also recapped on MaxPreps.
