Senior Hits 1,000 Assists in Volleyball
Senior Sarah Mills ’25 was honored for breaking the 1000-assist plateau prior to Wednesday night’s match against Visitation! She is the second MICDS volleyball player to ever have 1000+ career assists. Congratulations x 1000, Sarah! Way to set!

Golf Record Broken
Lisa Zhang ’27 recently broke the school record for 9 holes in Girls Golf with a score of -7(28). Way to go, Lisa!
Rams Participate in USA Youth Talent ID Camp for Soccer
Lily Harris ’28 and Audrey Walker ’28 were selected by the U.S. Soccer Federation to attend the USA Youth Talent ID Camp which is an opportunity for young soccer players to play against top competition under the direction of US Talent Coordinators. U.S. Soccer Talent ID Centers (IDCs) are player identification opportunities for top talents to train and play games under the direction of the U.S. Soccer Talent Identification Managers. IDCs are designed to identify and evaluate top talents for Youth National Teams.
Lily shared, „Attending the camp was a truly enriching experience. It provided me with the opportunity to participate in a scrimmage alongside some of the best players in the area, deepening my understanding of the game of soccer. This was my first camp, and I am immensely grateful for the chance to showcase my talent. The experience was significant for me, given the dedication and effort I have invested in reaching this point. It was genuinely rewarding to play with teammates and friends and to demonstrate the hard work I have put into this sport.“
„Being invited is such an honor and something I am so grateful for,“ reflected Audrey. „This opportunity gave me the chance to learn and grow. I am also so thankful for the continued support from the school and my family and friends. I hope to keep reaching new heights and growing as both a soccer player and a person.“
Gomez Brothers Get 2nd and 3rd in a Race Filled with Meaning
The Gomez family ran in the Celebrate Life Run, organized by the Mid-America Transplant organization, on Sunday, October 6 at Forest Park! Two MICDS students ran in honor of their cousin Eli and now also their PawPaw Mike. Micah ’31 came in 2nd and Matias ’33 came in 3rd! Way to go, Gomez brothers!
