Girls Golf Wins State Team Championship

A HUGE congratulations to the MICDS Girls Golf team for winning the Class 2 State Team Championship, for the third time in School history, on Tuesday at Fremont Hills Country Club in Nixa. Lisa Zhang ’27 had a runner-up finish, Morgan Withington ’25 scored a fifth-place tie, and Mac Froedge ’25 secured a tie for 13th, and Claire Kaiser ’26 rounded out the quartet power team.

Senior Receives Award from St. Louis Zoo

The St. Louis Zoo hosted its Volunteer Appreciation Event in September and recognized some of its most dedicated volunteers in the Zoo community with awards. Congratulations to Abby Derdeyn ’25 who received the Volunteer Values Award for greatly impacting and inspiring the Zoo community!

Sophomore and Junior Medal at Cross Country Invitational

Heru Bey ’27 and Shil Penilla ’26 medaled as they led the Varsity Boys Cross Country Rams to a strong finish at the Hancock Invitational. The team finished 5th of 17 teams. Bey ran to 14th place while Penilla ran to 30th place. Go Rams!

Sophomore Becomes Fastest MICDS Volleyball Player to Pass 600-Kill Mark

Sophomore May Durrill ’27 became the fastest player in MICDS Volleyball history to pass the 600-kill mark! She is only the second person in School history to pass 600! Way to go, May!

Fifth Grader Earns Three Medals at Hwang’s Taekwondo World Championship

David B. ’32 competed against others in his age group at Hwang’s Taekwondo World Championship on Saturday, October 19, 2024, in Louisville, Kentucky. He earned a gold medal in Sparring and two silver medals for Forms and Breaks. Amazing job, David!

First Grader to Perform in the Nutcracker at The Fox Theatre

This past weekend, Ava S. ’36 was cast for a significant part in the December 22 Nutcracker show which will take place at The Fabulous Fox Theatre. She was the only girl in her age bracket to be cast for the show and will play the main snowflake in the cast. Congratulations, Ava!

Girls Tennis Swings into State Semifinals

Girls Tennis defeated Poplar Bluff 5-0 in Quarterfinal Action from the Dwight Davis Tennis Center. They’ll take on Barstow in the State Semifinals on Halloween in Springfield! Go Rams!

Girls Volleyball Advances to District Championship

On Wednesday, the MICDS Girls Volleyball team got locked in a battle for the District Semifinals, but the Rams dug out with a 5-set win over Saint Charles West: 25-19, 20-25, 25-14, 24-26, & 15-5. The Rams advance to Friday’s District Championship where they take on the winner of Villa/Orchard Farm at MICDS 5 p.m. Go Rams!
