Two Medals by Two Cross Country Stars
Grace Coppel ‘25 and Frances Applegate ‘27 both medaled at the Gans Creek Cross Country Classic. They placed 6th and 10th, respectively. Congratulations, Rams!
Junior Earns Eagle Scout Award
Congratulations to Isaac Taylor ’25 for earning his Eagle Scout award! For his project, he built nesting boxes and nesting baskets, placing them in the trees of the natural area outside of City Academy’s library. Way to go, Isaac!

Sophomore Wins WashU Pre-College Program Reflection Essay Contest
Tenth grader Siboney Oviedo-Gray ’26 won the Washington University Pre-College Program Reflection Essay Contest! Siboney took part in the WashU Pre-College Program this past summer. The essay contest required that she submit an essay reflecting on her experience in the program and its impact on her college preparedness. Below is a portion of her winning submission:
Professors taught me to expand my mind outside of the academic boundaries I set for myself. Overall, this program helped me learn more about myself and the college application process by providing passionate individuals who already went through this uncertainty and now share how they overcame it.

Seventh Grader Named Tournament MVP
Kurt Sheets ’29 was named Tournament MVP after his team won the Mid-South PG Fall National. Excellent job, Kurt!
Cyclocross Raises $40,000 to Fight Cancer
Members of the MICDS Cyclocross team woke up early after the Homecoming Dance to take part in Pedal the Cause on Sunday morning. The team rode the Ted Jones Katy Classic with Merlin’s Magical Riders put together by Sawyer Merlin ’25. Their efforts raised over $40,000 to help support the battle against cancer!
Football Defeats Burroughs for Eighth Consecutive Time
Clad in new black uniforms, the Rams continued their streak of defeating Burroughs at Homecoming for the eighth consecutive year. Check out the game recap by STL High School Sports on the 42-13 victory.
