Twenty-five MICDS students attended the 2019 Missouri State Thespian Convention in Kansas City, and they even spent an extra day there when they were snowed in. Haley Driver ’20 and Eleanor Goldman ’19 performed in the opening ceremony, and students performed in individual events. Seldom Scene members also competed in the Tech Challenge, taking 3rd place overall and 1st place in Cable-Coiling.
MICDS Thespian Society members and drama program participants cheered each other on in their various competitions. On Friday, members of the MICDS 2018 production of She Kills Monsters got to see the same show produced by another school for Friday night’s mainstage show.
Congratulations to the following four students who received Superior Ratings:
- MacKenzie Macam ’20 – Stage Management
- Haley Driver ’20 and Alaina Baumohl ’19 – Duet Singing
- Alexander Huber ’19 – Solo Acting
Students may have been snowed in last weekend, but there’s no way to freeze their passion for drama on the stage and behind the scenes at MICDS!
