Upper School French faculty and students indulged in the Third Annual Fête de la Gastronomie, a celebration of food and food culture from all around the French-speaking world. This year, the festival coincided with the arrival of our French exchange students, which made the event extra special.
Throughout the day, French students gathered in the Blanke Room to sample desserts and other dishes that they made and share what they’ve been learning about food culture, all in a festive atmosphere. Students dined on traditional French fare and even learned how to make crepes.
Here is some background information on how the Fête de la Gastronomie is celebrated in France.
