Twenty-four Upper School student leaders got a jump start on the school year on Monday at the Student Government Leadership Orientation. This was a wonderful opportunity for student leaders to, with the support of their faculty sponsors, further their leadership skills, build relationships for future collaboration and begin to plan upcoming student events.
After the morning orientation and group lunch, many of the student leaders and faculty sponsors ventured to Principia’s Challenge Course for a team-building ropes course experience. The goals of the exercise were threefold – relationships, accountability and fun!
Erica Moore, who oversees student activities in the Upper School, shared, “This orientation – both the leadership training and the team building experience – sets a strong foundation for the school year. Our student leaders have tremendous potential, and they are excited about creating opportunities for students to get to know each other and build community.”
